2025 Excellence in
Resourcefulness Awards

The awards program, now in its ninth year, recognizes utilities that are achieving measurable outcomes in the wise and careful use of energy and water, leveraging advanced technologies or services. Utilities and cities can submit nominations in the following two categories: Energy and Water.

Nomination Criteria
Energy – Excellence in Resourcefulness

This award recognizes an IOU/Municipal/Cooperative’s method for successfully addressing and improving grid efficiency and operational issues through advanced technology implementation, such as DERMS, VPP, Edge Intelligence or AMI.

Water – Excellence in Resourcefulness

This award recognizes an IOU/Municipal/Cooperative for advancing its water conservation strategy and improving operational efficiency through technology implementation, such as AMI or edge intelligence.

Award Description

ENERGY – EXCELLENCE IN RESOURCEFULNESS
This award recognizes an IOU/Municipal/Cooperative’s method for successfully addressing and improving grid efficiency and operational issues through advanced technology implementation, such as DERMS, VPP, Edge Intelligence or AMI.

WATER – EXCELLENCE IN RESOURCEFULNESS
This award recognizes an IOU/Municipal/Cooperative for advancing its water conservation strategy and improving operational efficiency through technology implementation, such as AMI or edge intelligence.

Frost & Sullivan, in collaboration with Itron, is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Excellence in Resourcefulness Awards program.

The awards program, now in its seventh year, recognizes utilities that are achieving measurable outcomes in the wise and careful use of energy and water, leveraging advanced technologies or services. Utilities and cities can submit nominations in the following two categories: Energy and Water.

Excellence in Resourcefulness

Our Excellence in Resourcefulness Awards recognizes a utility or city’s ability to successfully implement technology and behavioral change, producing measurable outcomes in reducing waste of electricity and/or natural gas, and water loss or waste.
